Creating jewellery is more than a profession for me, it's the thing that's shaped my adult life.
I was born and reared in the Liberties, in the heart of Dublin, and I've spent more than 27 years refining my craft as a goldsmith. I've worked in the jewellery trade since 1998, and I've run my own business for over a decade now.
Everything I make is handmade, using a variety of precious metals and gemstones, inspired by the natural world around me. For me, the magic is in the detail of the piece rather than an elaborate backstory. Each design stands on its own, a small poem in metal and stone.
I make everything to order, in small, ethically produced batches. Having worked with larger brands and manufacturers earlier in my career, I saw first hand the waste that mass production creates, and I choose not to work that way. It's a big part of why clients come to me for handmade jewellery made with care, rather than something pulled off a shelf.
This approach has found its place with clients, especially with my one of a kind alternative engagement and wedding rings, made with rare and unusual gemstones. I also create bespoke twig jewellery, casting real twigs directly into metal, and memorial pieces for anyone who wants to carry a little of someone close with them.
